Hello Everyone, Here is a summary of the days events at the Tower Shoot for those that were not able to attend.

10:30 am - Breakfast
10:56 am - Informational / Informal meeting started.
*DEHRC members present- Keith Maready, Buddy Johnson, John Stroud, Richard Reese, Dee Reese, Garrett Debruhl, Richard McCullough, Reid Sasser, Roy Barber, Blake Haddock and Bill Mattes.
* Topics that were discussed
1. 2012 Yearly membership dues(all the above listed members have paid, including Dennis Hatcher) no other membership dues have been received or collected at this time. It was discussed that membership due dates by-laws be changed from the due date of March 31st to be amended to February 15th. After February 15th the delinquent member will be deleted from the email system. That member would need to be voted on again before accepting his/her yearly dues and membership.
2. John Stroud has received the authorization permit from the NCWRC for the 2012 spring hunt test.
3. Richard Reese reported that no new equipment needs to be purchased for the up coming year events.
4. The spring hunt test....... Who was going to be the equipment coordinators for Junior, Senior and Masters. Buddy Johnson would secure motel reservations for the judges. The "judges dinner" will be fed at John Stroud's residence. Buddy Johnson stated that he would prepare a shrimp stew.
5. Club officers have not received and correspondence from the field trial members in regards to coordinating the field trial logistics. It is the opinion of the DEHRC officers and Board of Directors that this communication and correspondence is necessary to be the host club for the scheduled spring Field Trial. A more active membership / role from the field trail members would be welcomed.
6. Tentatively February 18th would be the DEHRC designated training day at Richard and Dee Reese's (RWR Kennels).
7. Bringing back HRC. It was stated that Dennis Hatcher would be a key role in a successful HRC comeback. Dennis was recovering from property loss from Hurricane Irene and a heavy work load. It may be later in the year before DEHRC would get on board with HRC.
8. A waiver form for members and workers at hunt test and field trials be created. This waiver form will be signed yearly by members and before each event for workers.
9. The next DEHRC meeting will be held at John Stroud's residence February 14th at 6:30 PM.
11:08 am - Information/ Informal meeting ended.
The Tower Shoot was held at Stoney Creek Preserve approximately five miles from the Town and Country Kitchen. I don't know the exact number of pheasants that were released. I'd say 100 or so..... but Stoney Creek Preserve should have a good number of live birds to hunt the next couple of weeks. The ammunition manufactures should be smiling with the amount of shells shot. There was lots of fine dog work to be seen. But the dogs seemed a little disappointed in the handlers. Everyone and every dog had lots of fun. It was the high lite of the season's end for the twins and me. Garrett DeBruhl shot the money bird worth $55.00. Garrett donated the money back to DEHRC! Thanks Garrett, keep shooting!
15:00 pm - Tower Shoot ends
* REMINDER - Club dues are due. Not only is your dues due but your participation is the best club in the southeast is needed. Send checks payable to DEHRC to 598 Hardy Bridge Rd. Kinston, NC 28504
OK, you scare 'em out of the water. I'll blast 'em back in.
