Down East Hunting Retriever Club

The Down East Hunting Retriever Club (DEHRC) was founded in 1989 and is based in New Bern, North Carolina. DEHRC is an organization for people interested in training and testing hunting retriever dogs. We are affiliated with the American Kennel Club (AKC)and the Hunting Retriever Club,Inc (HRC). The club sponsors AKC Field Trials,AKC and HRC Hunt Tests, as well as training sessions and informal Club Tests. In these tests, dogs compete against a standard, not each other. There are no 'winners', but there are many 'qualifiers'.

Club Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at a site to be determined by the president, at 7:00pm.
